KSW returns to Paris in December for a clash of the titans, a classic Paris vs. Marseille, Franco-French main-event for the lightweight title.
On December 20, the KSW organization will visit France for the second time in its history with the XTB KSW 101 event, to be held at Paris La Défense Arena. For this second KSW event in the City of Light, fans will witness a clash between two-time KSW Paris champion Salahdine Parnasse (19-2, 4 KOs, 7 Sub) and Wilson Varela (12-5, 5 KOs, 4 Sub), from Marseille and currently on a six-fight winning streak.

Parnasse, “the mbappé of French mma”
Salahdine Parnasse is one of the biggest stars in European MMA, and a veritable phenomenon in the martial arts world. The exceptionally combative Frenchman has won 19 of his 21 fights. With KSW, he has won the featherweight and lightweight championship belts. At 26, he dominates his opponents and is rightly nicknamed the “Kylian Mbappé of French MMA”. In his last fight in Paris, he defeated Valeriu Mircea in the 1st round, defending his lightweight championship belt for the first time in front of his home crowd. Parnasse has been fighting in the KSW cage since 2017 and remains unbeaten at lightweight.
Varela, “The Prototype”
Wilson Varela, ranked as the second-best lightweight fighter, is on the rise in the KSW organization. He has won his last four fights in the cage and is on a six-fight winning streak, including victories at galas for other organizations. The 28-year-old from Marseilles has beaten Marian Ziolkowski, Sebastian and Łukasz Rajewski, as well as Gracjan Szadziński. He also received two bonuses for the best knockouts of the evening. With a total of 17 fights in professional MMA, Varela has 12 victories, including 6 from the first round. Only two of his winning bouts ended on the judges’ scorecards. Nicknamed “The Prototype”, he also has a prolific kickboxing career with over 25 fights, having even beaten muay thaï legend Youssef Boughanem.
