During his concert at the We Love Green festival on Friday May 31, Hamza revealed the long-awaited news of his forthcoming concert at the Paris La Défense Arena. Excitement has been running high ever since the announcement, promising record crowds for this grandiose show.
A look back at the Saucegod quarry
Hamza was born and raised in Laeken, Brussels. As a teenager, he starts rap and forms with his friends the Kilogramme Gang with whom he will release his first project entitled Gotham City Vol.1.
On May 11, 2015, after several years of solo work, he unveiled the mixtape H-24, which enabled him to reach a certain audience, notably beyond Belgian borders. In 2016, he unveils three solo projects (Zombie Life on June 24, New Casanova on October 24 and Santa Sauce on December 24) that propel him to the forefront.
His 1994 project, the fifth mixtape in his discography unveiled in 2017, is his first commercial success. Buoyed by the single “Life” (certified diamond single in 2022), Hamza’s project earns him the first gold record of his career, confirming his success and growing popularity.
In March 2019, he released his debut album Paradise, featuring collaborations with SCH, Aya Nakamura, Christine and the Queens and Oxmo Puccino. A project that would only confirm his talent and propel him to the top of the French rap scene. In December 2019, he continued his ascent with the mixtape Santa Sauce 2, inviting Damso, Koba LaD and Gambi to the project. He also unveils his second album 140 BPM 2 on February 5, 2021.
In early 2023, Hamza revealed the clip Introduction, the first single from his third album, Sincèrement, released on February 17, 2023. The Belgian rapper’s project was the second best-selling album in France in 2023, with over 180,000 sales, and had the best start of the year with over 7M streams in 24 hours.
